About This Opportunity

Volunteers will distribute flyers providing information on the Women, Infants, and Children (WIC) Program, providing nutrition education, breastfeeding support, and checks to purchase nutritious foods for low-income families with young children in and around the JCC Harlem. Our flyers will also inform residents where and when they can be pre-screened for eligibility and receive application assistance from a NYCCAH benefits access staff member.

Volunteers will participate in a brief day-of outreach training session before going to flyer in small groups. At the end of our time, we’ll gather back together for hot chocolate and a debrief session.
