This MLK Day, help support low-income families with young children through JCC Harlem. Help out with SNAP (food stamps) outreach in our community!

About This Opportunity

Volunteers will distribute flyers providing information on the Women, Infants, and Children (WIC) Program, providing nutrition education, breastfeeding support, and checks to purchase nutritious foods for low-income families with young children in and around the JCC Harlem. Our flyers will also inform residents where and when they can be pre-screened for eligibility and receive application assistance from a NYCCAH benefits access staff member.

Volunteers will participate in a brief day-of outreach training session before going to flyer in small groups. At the end of our time, we’ll gather back together for hot chocolate and a debrief session.
